Stalls

The market is licensed for inside stalls all year round and for additional outside stalls from March through to October.

We are a food only market so cannot accept applications from non-food related stalls.

Currently the indoor market is full but new applicants are always welcome as you can go on the waiting/substitutes list.

Inside stallholders will be allocated a 6' table, only certain stalls have electricity so please ensure you make clear if this is essential.

Outside stall holders must bring their own gazebos or suitable cover. We will provide a 6' table if required.

Stalls are priced at £27.50 per table, if you are selling alcohol then you need to pay an additional £5.00 per market to cover our alcohol license costs.

Q: What is a primary producer?
A: Typically a farm rearing animals, a dairy, a cheesemaker or farm growing fruit and veg, either a farm with 50 miles or a business with a local family connection.

Q: What is a secondary producer?
A: Secondary Producer: Producing food with locally sourced ingredients where possible. We take a common sense approach as obviously some ingredients such as sugar or dried fruits may need to be imported.

Q: What is the market position on organic food?
A: This is up to the producer, we only look for local and responsibly made produce.

Information

We are looking to support local small businesses, we need to provide a balanced range of produce that enables traders to run a viable business whilst providing an enticing range for consumers.

All applicants must provide:

• Relevant insurance including public liability
• Relevant Environmental health qualifications
• A list of produce that you wish to sell, if you wish to change your product mix then you must apply in advance for new products
• A valid email address so that we can communicate with you

We will carry out a visit to discuss your application and verify the content. We are happy to advise start up businesses on any aspect of their application.
